Andy Warhol brought pop to the Glass House and these Jonathan Adler Candles will add a pop of color to your home. Each candle includes aromatic mixes of familiar scents, including pepper, sage, orange and fig. When the candle is finished, you’ll have a modern interpretation of Warhol’s vintage, translucent milk glass to enjoy.

The Philip Johnson Glass House, located in New Canaan, is a National Trust Historic Site, and its 47-acre campus is offered as a catalyst for the preservation and interpretation of modern architecture, landscape, and art, and as a canvas for inspiration and experimentation honoring the legacy of Philip Johnson (1906-2005) and David Whitney (1939-2005).

As an adjunct to the tours offered of this site, there is the Glass House Visitor Center and Design Store, located at 199 Elm St., New Canaan. The Design Store offers a well-edited selection of products for men, women, children and the home, featuring items that are inspired by the Glass House site and highlight the latest in eco-friendly materials, production techniques, and design concepts from around the world. The store is open from 11-4, and many of these items may also be purchased online as well, at PhilipJohnsonGlassHouse.org.

This minimalist watering can is designed to be on display so it is always ready to hand. The pointed spout facilitates watering even small pots and produces an even stream of water. Remove the spout to fill the watering can. Made of plastic and chrome plastic.

Susan Matheson, a New York and London-based architect and avid baker, and author of “Gingerbread Architect,” — a modern guide to the traditional holiday craft of creating gingerbread houses — will be at the Design Store on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 11-2, signing books. She has designed a Glass House gingerbread house, which will also be on display.

Throughout her book, Matheson and her co-author, Lauren Chattman, provide a glossary of architectural terms, detailed blueprints and elevations as well as historical context and descriptions of prominent architectural features, made from gingerbread and candy.

Here is a sampling of products that may be just right for that special person on your holiday gift-buying list.
