Susan Matheson, a New York and London-based architect and avid baker, and author of “Gingerbread Architect,” — a modern guide to the traditional holiday craft of creating gingerbread houses — will be at the Design Store on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 11-2, signing books. She has designed a Glass House gingerbread house, which will also be on display.
Throughout her book, Matheson and her co-author, Lauren Chattman, provide a glossary of architectural terms, detailed blueprints and elevations as well as historical context and descriptions of prominent architectural features, made from gingerbread and candy.
