Santa and his reindeer are coming to town
McArdle’s Florist and Garden Center in Greenwich is having its annual Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Workshop through Dec. 24. For the event, McArdle’s has been turned into a Santa’s workshop for a photo with Santa. Photo packages begin at $29.99 and include special coupons at more than 100 Greenwich stores and restaurants. ‘Hope Lights Lives’ luminary fund-raiser kicks off
Family Centers’ annual Hope Lights Lives luminary project is underway. Volunteers across Fairfield County are currently selling luminary kits in preparation for the event’s multi-town lighting. With more than 5,000 luminary kits sold each year, Hope Lights Lives – Family Centers’ annual fund-raiser to benefit the Center for Hope and The Den for Grieving Kids – has grown to into a holiday tradition.
On Sunday, Dec. 16, at 5 p.m., residents in Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Rowayton, Southport, Stamford, Weston and Wilton will decorate their lawns with special luminaries. In addition to creating a festive display, the luminaries are also meant to honor loved ones who have died or are coping with a critical illness.

Atelier360 Greenwich store offers luxury lifestyle products
Atelier360 has opened its doors at 113 Greenwich Avenue, Greenwich, offering luxury fashion, accessories and lifestyle products each with its own story. New Canaan residents Veronique Lee and Liz Logie are the faces behind the new retail concept. “Atelier360 was founded with the intention of sharing something beautiful from one part of the world with another while doing some good — a way for people to speak to each other without words,” said Ms. Lee. The store carries products for the home — handmade throws, table runners, wall hangings and desktop accessory trays. Joel Oppenheimer and Audubon Greenwich to partner
Joel Oppenheimer, Inc., the natural history art gallery known for the works of the John James Audubon, has opened the Oppenheimer Gallery at Audubon Greenwich, 613 Riversville Road. The gallery resides in the newly renovated Kiernan Hall and features four exhibits a year. The first exhibition will explore all the editions of Audubon’s work in the 19th Century. “John James Audubon is considered to be perhaps the greatest natural history artist of all time. His body of work in ornithological art is iconic. Collectors and admirers of his works continue to be enthralled with his accomplishments and how he shaped the genre of natural history art,” Mr. Oppenheimer said.
