The design duo behind textile and home tabletop company Root Cellar Design will give a talk and demonstration on “Setting a Creative Holiday Table” at the Westport Historical Society Thursday, Dec. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The talk will be followed by a sample sale of select linens from their new collections.
New York City interior designer and host Tamara Stephenson, along with business partner and textile designer Susan Young, will show tricks, tips and creative ways to mix and match vintage patterns and items one may already have in the home with modern day collections. Longtime antiques collectors, these ladies host a variety of philanthropic and design industry events each year showing their designs and talent, and will demonstrate ways to bring it together for a holiday table and entertaining that is relaxed, layered and elegant, yet feels straight out of a magazine.
The Westport Historical Society Remarkable Gift Shop will be open for this event, featuring Westport-themed items.
Refreshments will be served. There is no charge for admission.
The Westport Historical Society is located at 25 Avery Place, across from Westport Town Hall. Information is available at 203-222-1424 or westporthistory.org.
