Spring seems to be the time that most homeowners really start cleaning house, and that often begins with the vacuum.
Fairfield County Vacuums, located at 11 High Ridge Road in Stamford, is a 12-year-old family-owned business and an authorized dealer of Oreck and Miele vacuums, according to Bruce Vandermark, owner and chief diagnostician, with free yearly tune-ups provided for certain Oreck models.
Repair on almost all models (except Dyson and Kirby) are available and are done on site by Bruce and his two technicians.
“We have the experience to repair vacuums efficiently and professionally, and pride ourselves on customer service and affordable rates.”
The business also features a trade-in program for older vacuums, with those that can be refurbished donated to charitable organizations.
Steamers (less than $200) do a thorough job of cleaning surfaces including carpet, ceramic floors, barbecues, tile grout, and barbecue pits. “Customers love how, once steamed, their carpets are restored to normal height,” Bruce notes. Bottled/distilled water, rather than chemicals, is added to these machines to generate the steam.
Air purifiers are big sellers, especially during allergy season, according to Bruce. “Air purifiers are often recommended by allergists, and sometimes their purchase is covered by insurance,” he says. “Pollen, dust, viruses, and odors are effectively removed from the air. Buyers like their portability and easy storage and appreciate their sleep-mode setting for bedrooms. Repair service is available.”
Orbiters — machines that deep clean virtually any floor — are available for rental or purchase, and the store also carries a variety of cleaning products, supplies, and vacuum cleaner bags. For more information, visit www.fairfieldcountyvacuums.com or call 203-978-1849.
