Rooms with a View (RWAV), the Fairfield County design event created by Albert Hadley, will be celebrating its 23 year, beginning on Friday, November 10 at the Southport Congregational Church, located at 524 Pequot Ave., Southport. For this year’s theme — “Joy to the World” — twelve designers have been invited to create 6’ x 8′ interior design vignettes —  mini-rooms with 8-foot ceilings and three walls — that are staged in the library and great hall of the historic stone, Gothic Revival style Southport Congregational Church.

The show opens to the public on Friday, November 10 and runs through Sunday, November 12. The event is open to the public on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. Some of the highlights of the weekend include the Gala Party Friday evening, featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by some of the top restaurants of Fairfield County, with an entertaining live and silent auction, as well as a topiary workshop from Gilbertie’s Nursery in Westport. On Saturday, a Broadway Show Tunes luncheon by Festivities will be held, and that evening, visitors may attend the Champagne Tour of the Vignettes and Gourmet Dinner by Paci Restaurant. On Sunday, November 12 at 2 p.m., a Gingerbread House Workshop will be held in the main tent along with a Bloody Mary Bar that will open from 12 to 4 p.m.

The Shops at Rooms with a View will showcase thirty specialty vendors from around the country with crafts, antiques and decorative accessories. The  Marketplace Café will be serving treats throughout the weekend. General admission tickets are $25 per person, with additional charges for the events.
